It’s just been one of those days.
From the minute I laid my head on the pillow last night, until typing this now. It’s been heavy, hard, beautiful, exciting and encouraging…all in 24 hours.
But the best part of days like this is that you know you won’t forget them. They are times of growth, reflection, humility and seeing God in people, music and the stillness of staring at a computer.
I am not going to vomit it all up. Not necessary. But I hope everyone has experienced days like this. And if you have, or if you do sometime soon, I pray you have friends who read you verses, songs that make you cry with hope, and a God who comforts you.
A few of my companions during the day:
Verse #1
Proverbs 3:21-23 (TNIV) This verse is so freeing!
“My son, do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight,
preserve sound judgment and discretion;
they will be life for you,
an ornament to grace your neck.
Then you will go on your way in safety
and your foot will not stumble.”
Song #1 (ok it’s a little bit of an angsty teen song, but I love it. The end PUMPS me up. Shout out to Erin Hobbie for throwing it on a mix I rediscovered last night. Perfect timing.)
Verse #2
Ephesians 6:10-12 (ESV) A little “militaristic” but true when you are fighting for anything that is good.
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”
Song #2
Did you really think you were getting out of here without some Live C.P?
Gotta love Chris.
I hope you are encouraged, even if my music choice is that of 12-year-old boys and, oh wait, Coldplay is the best band ever, why do I need to try and defend them?
Anywho…
I haven’t been writing as much since I am in the process of transfering this blog onto another one. Who knew there was so much techy stuff to learn just to get your thoughts on paper. I am kind of tech-tarded.

Love and Respect (Now) is a division of Love and Respect. Please be considerate.

joy,
if you can embed mp3s in your blog, you're hardly tech-tarded.
just wanted to somehow acknowledge the fact that you had a rough yet rich day, that i read about it, and that i care. 🙂
love you!
