Hey friendlings!
Today I’m comin’ at you from the sunny suburbs because finally, finally, I got visitation rights to see Walter, my long-lost dog love. Unfortunately, he won’t stop hiding under the table.
I think that means he missed me.
Walter or not, Lindsay—one of my dearest friends—is here to talk about attending my dad’s Love and Respect conferences.
First attending the conference as a young single gal, Lindsay learned that (gasp!) the love and respect principles apply to more than just romantic relationships. And once she was in a romantic relationship with her husband, Matt, she began to see those principles in a new light.
As you’ll hear in the interview, Matt really sealed the deal through his unwavering loyalty to Lindsay throughout their relationship. Once he told her she could lie, cheat, or steal and he still wouldn’t leave, she knew he was the one.
Which says a lot about him and about my friends.
So grab a seat and listen up! I hope you brought a mug because Lucy really loves to cheers—and that is something I will never deny her.

i actually saw walter’s butt! i’ll take it! haha
the first time i ever knew of a marriage conference, i was already married, and it was actually L&R that came to our church. but im a new believer, so my community when i was single, was much different than now. i’m divorced now so obviously i have trust issues and loyalty really plays out a big part for me.

Not even one glimpse of Walter!? I was really looking forward to seeing that cutie batootie.
That said, I appreciated Lindsey’s insight on loyalty. I think that’s a bigger thing than we give credit to in relationships.
