What a great story. I particularly loved the part where his *soon to be* fiance didn’t give him attitude when he said the “10 year” comment. That meant something to me (and then the next line… she trusted him). How many times have I heard something that displeased me and felt the immediate need to dislplay my displeasure.

I really loved every part of this video, from his marriage story to the piece about his teacher giving him a second chance. (I am a teacher myself, so that stuck with me.) I really love his thoughts on mentorship, and the age segregation. Thanks for sharing his story and so many other stories.

I love the part about his teacher too! Having him read Seven Years a Slave and BELIEVING in his potential so much actually changed the trajectory of his life and self confidence. So inspiring!
